Our performance, capability and culture

evaluate...build...promote...improve...evaluate...build...promote...improve...evaluate...build...promote...

These enabling responsibilities aim to align our people, culture, policies, practices and systems to our business objectives and priorities.

Our enabling priorities for 2005–06 are:

  • strengthen our financial and resource management through implementing a three year rolling resource strategy
  • build our capability through skills development, broadening of individual roles, and active workforce and succession planning and management
  • develop a new and simple remuneration and performance management system.

Priority areas for further development of our capability are people management and financial management and we also have a particular need to build our programme design capability. Given our leadership role in promoting the APS Values, our understanding and modelling of the values needs to be exemplary.
