Social Club

The Commission’s Social Club, based in Canberra, had another active year. In addition to fortnightly gatherings at ‘Drinks After Work’, the Social Club organised a number of events including the annual Christmas lunch and a special Australia Day lunch, at which the Commissioner presented Australia Day medallions to staff who had made significant contributions to the Commission’s work during the year. The Social Club also raised money for the Canberra Bushfire Appeal Fund and donated Easter eggs to St Vincent de Paul.
