Appendix F: Advertising and market research

A total of $190,146 was paid for advertising, representing a 3.5% increase over the previous year.

Th e master advertising agency, HMA Blaze, was paid $188,606. Th is represents the only payment for advertising services greater than $10,500 (incl. GST).

Advertising was used to promote development programmes, advertise tenders or recruit employees, as well as to recruit Indigenous employees for the APS as a whole.

No market research activities assessing the attitudes of the public were undertaken and the Commission did not employ the services of polling or direct mail organisations.

To support its preparation of the State of the Service Report, a range of processes were undertaken by the Commission to assess the attitudes of APS employees.
