Frequently asked questions

I have been acting in my job for a long time – can I be automatically promoted to it?

No. You can only be promoted if the employment opportunity (or a similar vacancy) has been advertised in the APS Employment Gazette within the last 12 months and you have been selected on merit as a result of a competitive selection process.
