How do I apply for graduate positions in the APS

The easiest way to search for graduate positions offered by APS Agencies and Departments is to go to the following link Graduate Employment opportunities

You will be able to view details in relation to available Graduate opportunities from the Australian Jobsearch web page.

University graduates are also encouraged to apply for non-graduate employment opportunities in the APS. Administrative positions and customer service positions are generally classified at an APS 1-4 level, whilst policy and program employment positions are generally classified from the APS 3 level and above.

Your application should clearly state your skills, qualifications, personal qualities and experience in respect of each of the selection criteria.

Australian Government agencies normally advertise graduate employment opportunities between February and June each year. As well as appearing in the electronic APS Employment Gazette, opportunities will be listed on individual agency websites.
