Ethics Hypothetical

Overview

The Australian Public Service Commission is pleased to present the 2010 Hypothetical Event entitled ‘The practice and ethics of disaster response’ to be held at the Canberra Theatre on 25 March 2010.

This hypothetical event is a lively and interactive forum where our presenter, Mr Peter Thompson, ABC broadcaster and journalist, will take the audience through a hypothetical world of realistic scenarios and situations which will test our individual responses to the situations posed as well as hearing from a fantastic line up of panel members who bring a mixture of ethical and practitioner perspectives to this issue.

Ms Glenys Beauchamp from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
Mr Glenn Milne, Chief Political Journalist based in the Press Gallery at Parliament House
Ms Jennie Granger from the Australian Taxation Office
Ms Karen Curtis, Privacy Commissioner
Mr Graham Jaeschke from The Smith Family who disseminate the much needed goods
Ms Clare Martin from The Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS).
