Financial skills - advanced
Financial skills – advanced is designed to meet the needs of Australian Public Service employees who have some financial skills or have attended a Financial skills – introduction program and require more information on specific topics such as accrual accounting and costing methodologies in a public sector environment.
Program overview
- discussing accrual accounting in greater depth with specific agency examples to explain the concepts
- explaining the fundamentals of agency financial statements
- identifying good practice in regards to assets and liabilities
- managing debtors and creditors
- analysing financial results of participant’s own agency
- classifying costs and pricing models
