Program management in a policy context
Changing policy environments present leadership challenges for Executive Level employees in delivering effective program management. Examine the contemporary thinking and good practice associated with policy and program development and the management and leadership skills essential to deliver effective outcomes.

- exploring contemporary issues affecting APS policy work
- analysing good practice policy development and consultation processes
- identifying and interpreting policy scoping and direction
- managing and evaluating resources and staffing needs in response to a policy direction
- improving policy advisory skills
- communicating effectively to internal and external stakeholders
- measuring performance of policy management and leadership
