Strategic People Management and Capability Building consultancy services
The demand for specialised consultancy services by government agencies in strategic people management and capability building has increased over the past few years.
The combined skills of the consultancy groups on the Commission’s Leadership, Learning & Development (LL&D) Panel provide advice, analysis, facilitation and reporting services for Agencies in the Key Areas of Expertise. This may include:
The Key Areas of Expertise (KAEs) include, but are not limited to:
- conducting an analysis of the needs of Agencies or parts of Agencies
- developing a plan or solution for addressing the needs of Agencies or parts of Agencies and
- assisting Agencies implement a plan or solution that will address the needs of the Agencies or parts of Agencies
or
- leadership, including assessment of leadership capability, workforce planning strategies, and leadership assessment
- performance management, including assessment of organisational performance, development of performance management systems and strategies and innovations in management of performance
- organisational change development and management including organisational change and HR workforce capability alignment to corporate plan achievement
- governance and planning, including services relating to business and corporate planning
- workforce planning and management, including the process for identifying and addressing the gaps between the current workforce and the workforce needs of the future
- facilitation services, including the coordination and facilitation of planning sessions, strategy meetings, seminars
- succession management, including identifying the type of talent the organisation will need into the future and/or developing a pool of talent with the skills, attributes, and experiences to fill specific, often high-level positions
- strategic human resource management, including linking of human resources with strategic goals and objectives in order to improve business performance and develop appropriate organisational culture
- business and organisational planning, including the facilitation of business plan development, development of planning cycles, environmental scans, Strength, Weakness, Opportunity & Threat (SWOT) analysis and financial management
- business re-engineering, including review of business processes, organisational structures, workflows and productivity
