Successful Australian Public Service (APS) employees are expected to understand and apply the key capabilities of strategic thinking in the contemporary workplace.
Strategic thinking creatively takes you behind professional thought practices, fundamental planning and operating strategically in the APS.
Program overview
- understanding and applying strategic thinking under the APS Integrated Leadership System (ILS) model
- discussing the language of strategic thinking
- exploring strategic planning and thinking
- recognising the purpose of strategic thinking
- examining methods and models for strategic planning including group based planning processes
