How to write high impact speeches
A high impact speech engages the audience on an emotional and intellectual level. In the APS environment speeches can also deal with sensitive political subjects and are written in close consultation with Ministers and other key stakeholders. This program equips staff with the skills, motivation and confidence to write powerful and effective speeches while satisfying the interests of other key APS stakeholders.

- identifying protocols to be followed when developing speeches and speaking notes
- creating the right style and tone
- ensuring language and grammatical correctness
- applying the essential elements of speechwriting
- writing effective speeches that are heard and not read
