Information for Parliamentary Service employees

The Parliamentary Service Act 1999 established the Parliamentary Service as a separate service from the APS.

Under the Public Service Regulations, Parliamentary Service employees joining the APS are considered to have been ‘engaged’ by the APS.  Ongoing Parliamentary Service employees who apply for APS jobs at a higher classification level are also entitled to apply for promotion review or may be subject to an application for a promotion review from an APS employee.
