Please note: This document is for reference purposes only and is no longer considered by the APS Commission to be current. It may contain good practice advice and/or advice on the transitional arrangements between the 1922 and 1999 Public Service Acts.

I, PETER ROGER SHERGOLD, Public Service Commissioner:

  1. acting under paragraph 18 (5) (d) of the Public Service Act 1922, revoke, in respect of my powers and functions specified in the Schedules to this instrument, all delegations to any person holding or occupying the office of a Secretary; and
  2. acting under subsection 18 (1) of that Act, delegate my powers and functions under:
    1. a provision of that Act specified in an item in Schedule 1; or
    2. a provision of another Act specified in an item in Schedule 2;
      to the persons holding or performing the duties of the office specified in the item, subject to:
    3. in respect of Schedules 1 and 2-the conditions specified in the item; and
    4. in respect of Schedule 1-guidelines and other directions issued by the Public Service Board or by me in respect of those powers and functions.
