I am pleased to present the Australian Public Service Commission Annual Report 2023-24 for the reporting period ending 30 June 2024, as is required by section 46 of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013. I have been the accountable authority for the full reporting period.

As required under s51(3) of the Public Service Act 1999, a report on the activities of the Merit Protection Commissioner is included as part of this Annual Report.

This report has been prepared in accordance with all requirements for annual reports approved by the Joint Committee of Public Accounts and Audit, and as prescribed in the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014.

As required by subsection 17AG(2) of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014, I certify for the Australian Public Service Commission that:

  • fraud and corruption risk assessments and fraud and corruption control plans have been prepared
  • mechanisms are in place for preventing, detecting incidents of, investigating or otherwise dealing with, and recording or reporting fraud and corruption
  • all reasonable measures have been taken to deal appropriately with fraud and corruption.
