- Logging in
As you would expect, the greatest barrier to using GovTEAMS is not being able to log in. Have you forgotten your username or password? Well you wouldn’t be the first person! Remember, your username is a unique email that is not the same as your work email (it is usually firstname.lastname@govteams.gov.au). This is so you can take it with you no matter where you work in the APS. If you still can’t remember your username or password, go through the account reactivation process that in available from the login page. Failing that, you can reach out to helpdesk@support.govteams.gov.au
- Accessing GovTEAMS regularly
If it has been longer than 90-days since you last logged into GovTEAMS then there is some bad news – your license will have likely been reassigned to another user. Fortunately, you can regain your access – you just need to contact the licencing area at your home agency and they should be able to help you get back up and running.
- Ok, so you’re finally in GovTEAMS. What do you do now?
With just over 2200 members and growing, there is so much you can do on GovTEAMS. For example, you can:
- Post a question to our colleagues. Are you looking for someone to fill a new role in your agency? Why not post it on GovTEAMS to spread the word.
- Share documents. Are you about to develop a workforce plan for your agency? Why don’t you see if anyone else has one they can share so you don’t have to reinvent the wheel?
- Like posts. If you see a comment or discussion thread you like then ‘like’ it. This is a good way to signal to your colleagues that you are interested in their discussion.
Now that you’re on GovTEAMS, expanding your networks and sharing your HR knowledge, why don’t you encourage more people to get on board? The more HR Professionals we have online, the more we all benefit.
