The APSC is proud to have launched the Affirmative Measure Disability Recruitment Hub (AMD Hub) to support agencies to implement the APS Disability Employment Strategy 2020–25.
The AMD Hub provides end-to-end recruitment guidance designed to supplement and complement agencies’ current recruitment practices. It includes better practice ideas for agencies to consider across the entire recruitment process from job design to advertising; from assessment and interviews to candidate care. It provides tools and guidance for agencies to create a safe environment to recruit people with disability and supports HR and workforce planning teams to increase representation of people with disability in their agencies.
The AMD Hub is relevant to anyone involved in the recruitment and on-boarding of staff with disability. This includes:
- HR and recruitment specialists
- Hiring managers
- Panellists
- Delegates
- Supervisors
- And disability contact officers.
Engaging with the AMD Hub may also provide an uplift in capability and confidence to recruit and on-board employees with disability in a safe and inclusive way.
