The capability review of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) has been published under the Australian Government’s re-instated pilot Capability Review program.
The DAFF Capability Review was led by a Senior Review Team, comprising independent reviewers Robyn Kruk AO and Liza Carroll PSM and senior APS reviewers Jenet Connell, Deputy Australian Statistician, Australia Bureau of Statistics and Lisa La Rance, First Assistant Secretary, Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts. Staff from the Australian Public Service Commission supported the senior reviewers with their work.
The Australian Public Service Commissioner endorsed the final report on 8 August 2023.
Department’s action plan
In response to the 2023 capability review, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has developed an action plan. The action plan outlines how the department will lift its capability over the coming years. The department will report on progress against their action plan through their corporate plan and annual report available at https://www.transparency.gov.au/publications.
