Further to the Project overview in the February 2022 edition, we are pleased to advise that we are now in Phase 2 - Design and Develop. This phase, which focusses on co-design and testing guidance material with recruitment and diversity practitioners, will result in the development of a prototype-like minimal viable product.
We are also continuing to incorporate the insights and findings from Phase 1 - Discovery, where key issues and potential focus areas for high impact solutions were identified.
As part of a holistic approach to improving Indigenous employment outcomes, the Indigenous Employee Value Proposition Tool work and the broad refresh of Affirmative Measure Indigenous guidance will inform Phase 2. Emma McMahon who leads this work has joined the Project team, alongside continuing team-members from the Departments of Defence, Health and the ATO. We will also soon welcome a number of other agency representatives joining the project team.
We are undertaking an Affirmative Measure Survey—closing 6 May 2022 to inform the Project. If you haven’t already, we would encourage you to complete the survey and share it within your agency.
We always welcome collaboration and feedback. If you would like to learn more about the Project and/or contribute directly to the co-design and testing of the guidance materials being co-designed in Phase 2 of the project, further information is in the Hub or you can contact us through diversity@apsc.gov.au.
